Hardened and Tempered
September 10
Hard enough to hold an edge; soft enough not to break, Austin, Texas duo Kristin Davidson and Carolyn Phillips live that balance and express it in their music. Their songs take root in the story-telling traditions of folk and country and flourish with textured harmonies, revealing an intimate look at the human condition and one’s search for meaning.
“Hardened and Tempered gently conjure wanderlust in the wide-open western spaces of cowboy mythology”

Tish Hinojosa - November 12
Tish Hinojosa's songs blend the genres of country, folk and Hispanic music in a way that can only be described as a musical melting pot; unique and insightful. She sings and writes in Spanish and English and has many bilingual songs, including a full album of children’s songs that has often been used by teachers as a tool for teaching the Spanish language. The Chicago Tribune put it succinctly “Simply put, Hinojosa is a first-class songwriter.”
